Buy rare live captive-bred Grey Peacock-Pheasants
At Game Fowls Ranch, our Grey Peacock-Pheasant lines are strictly maintained in clean, sheltered, low-density aviaries to protect their delicate feathering, clear eye-spot contrast, and reproductive health. Slightly larger than other members of the Polyplectron genus, mature Grey Peacock-Pheasant cocks reach approximately 22 to 29 inches in length (including full tail fan), while hens remain smaller and more compactly patterned. They are remarkably quiet birds with gentle, inquisitive dispositions, making them ideal inhabitants for planted aviaries alongside non-aggressive species.
Every bird selected for dispatch undergoes rigorous health inspection and biosecurity protocols:
-
Conformation & Ocelli Contrast: Chosen strictly for pristine feathering, crisp silver-grey facial skin, vibrant metallic violet-green ocelli, and clean spur development.
-
Specialized Diet & Nutritional Conditioning: Maintained on high-protein gamebird breeder feeds (22%–26% protein), fresh greens, live mealworms/insects, soft fruits, and mineral grit for optimal feather sheen and digestive health.
-
Biosecurity & Quarantine: Fully dewormed, inspected for clear nostrils, bright eyes, clean legs, and acclimated to secure covered flight runs prior to shipment.
-
Climate-Controlled Live Express Packaging: Shipped inside heavy-duty, state-approved live poultry/gamebird transit crates lined with absorbent bedding and moisture-providing fruits/hydration gels to guarantee a safe, low-stress journey.
