Purebred Welsummer Day Old Chicks
Introduce classic rustic beauty, active pasture foraging, outstanding weather hardiness, and iconic speckled terra-cotta brown eggs to your homestead by ordering Purebred Welsummer Day-Old Chicks, available directly from Game Fowls Ranch. Developed during the early 20th century in the small village of Welsum in the eastern Netherlands, the Welsummer (Gallus gallus domesticus) is world-famous as the inspiration for classic rustic rooster art and for producing deep reddish-brown, heavily speckled eggs.
Starting with day-old Welsummer chicks allows you to raise, hand-acclimate, and brood your foundation flock directly on your property, establishing strong flock immunity, early bonding, and custom management from day one.
