kearney whitehackle gamefowl for sale
Introducing Kearney Whitehackle Gamefowl, developed by Floyd Gurley after over 50 years of breeding from the original strain of Michael Kearney, passed down through generations. Floyd created the renowned Green-Legged Kearney Whitehackles (Chesapeake) and the equally proficient Yellow-Legged Kearney Whitehackles. The last strain he developed was the Spangled Kearney Whitehackles. Modern breeder Steve Sturm has also contributed significantly to this bloodline.
Key Features:
- 100% Straight Comb: Kearney Whitehackles are characterized by their straight comb and striking appearance.
- Color Varieties: They come in yellow-legged, green-legged (Chesapeake), and spangled variations.
- Physical Attributes: Medium-stationed with broad shoulders and heavy plumage, roosters typically weigh between 2 to 2.4 kg.
Fighting Style:
Kearney Whitehackles are known for their agility and versatility in the ring. While around 90% are yellow-red in color, the remaining 10% feature spangled, mustard-colored hackles. They are considered deadly cutters, excelling at breaking high and adapting to various fighting positions.
Regarded by enthusiasts as “ring generals,” these roosters perform best with a long knife slash style. Their smart fighting strategy and precise timing enable them to deliver deliberate blows that can incapacitate opponents.
